JonesN Ex Member	1,2,3,4........ I declare a bidding war!! 01/15/08 at 14:19:48 I am wondering if there is a limit to how many insurance companies you can apply to at a time. I want to get the lowest price so I am thinking about applying with like 5 or 6 companies to see who gives me the lowest price.

I applied with 2 insurance companies at one time and I have to tell you it got very confusing for me. Also, it costs the insurance money to underwrite each application.

Reply #2 - 01/18/08 at 13:21:24 That is pretty interesting because I only applied with one company, or thought I did, and ended up getting called by like 4 different insurance companies. I think my information was passed around to several places without my permission. I ended up applying with a local agent.

You will be given the same rate regardless of what broker you choose.
