A child rider allows you to buy so many units for your child/children. It costs extra for this feature. A child can be declined for a rider if they have any diseases or disorders like cancer, heart disease, epilepsy, etc. You have to fill out a form that is like a mini health questionnaire for your child/children. From there, the insurance company can decide if your child qualifies for the rider. They won't have to take a medical exam either.
