On June 13, American International Group (AIG) announced A.M. Best Company had raised its financial strength ratings to A++ on a number of its domestic life insurance companies. The A++ rating (Superior) is A.M. Best's highest possible rating and is reserved for companies that have a superior ability to meet their ongoing obligations to policyholders.

Two companies affected by this rating upgrade are American General Life Insurance Company and The United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York. QuickQuote offers term life insurance from both companies.
