In a follow up to our blog post on January 16, it looks like Allstate customers and prospects in Florida are back in good hands. The Florida First District Court of Appeals has granted an immediate stay from the Florida Insurance Commissioner's recent order that Allstate cease writing new automobile and homeowners insurance policies in the state. The stay means Florida residents are once again able to purchase new insurance policies from the company.
Allstate stated they will continue to work with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation in their investigation of the company's rating policies.
