Here's a fun Friday blog for you as we head out onto the highways for the weekend.
According to GMAC Insurance National Drivers Test, approximately 36 million licensed American drivers would not pass their written DMV licensing exams if they were to take them today. The company conducted surveys of American drivers using actual test questions from the exam.
The national average score was 77.1 percent. New York ranked last in the test of driver knowledge with an average score of 71 percent, as well as the highest failure rate in the nation at 36 percent. Nice going. New Jersey, Washington D.C., Massachusetts and Rhode Island all joined in the race to the bottom.
Idaho had the most knowledgable drivers, with an average score of 81.7 percent. Arkansas, Minnesota, Kansas and Wisconsin rounded out the top five.
