A recent survey of high school students was conducted and released by The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and State Farm. The survey shows the following 'surprising' findings:
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the fatality rate for drivers aged 16 - 19 years is four times that of drivers aged 25 - 69 years. Many auto insurance company premiums reflect this statistic, with rates declining for many drivers once they reach age 25.

| Posted by: anonymous on 02/09/2007 I think that this is interesting but there are ways to get reduced rates for teenagers and new drivers. You just need to know the tricks. My website covers this http://autoinsurance1.googlepages.com/newdriver |
| Posted by: anonymous on 01/08/2008 I think that insurance should be lowered because teens can't affored to pay the price. they have to go to school during the day and there is not many places a teen can work at to raise enough money to pay the cost and pay for the price of gas these days. |
