Application Process

Chances are, when you were a kid, you made a list of all the things you wanted to do. And nowhere on that list was anything even remotely related to buying insurance. Of course, adulthood and reality eventually set in, and here you are.

Not surprisingly, most people who purchase insurance haven't the faintest idea what happens once they apply for a policy.

Well, we're here to put an end to the mystery (and that's one of the reasons why QuickQuote has been rated number one in customer satisfaction by SmartMoney). So let us explain how QuickQuote processes your application to guarantee the best outcome possible for you.

Most likely, the hardest thing you will have to do is fill out and sign the application. Once submitted, our state-of-the-art tracking system kicks in and your assigned QuickQuote underwriting team takes over.

Once QuickQuote receives your application, the quality control department conducts a review for completion and accuracy — this often eliminates delays in the insurance company's underwriting department.

Then your application is transferred to our licensed agent new business department for a detailed review. It is their responsibility to examine your personal information and compare it to the exact insurance plan that you want. At this point, your QuickQuote agent may even identify a better-suited plan based on your profile — if so, he will make specific recommendations.

From there, you will be assigned to your own personal case management team. This well-trained group works with a variety of people — underwriters, medical examining companies and your physicians, if necessary — to expedite all outstanding requirements as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to obtain the best possible price. (We are one of the only on-line companies that provide full in-house case management. It is an expensive proposition, but well worth it — over eighty-two percent of our applicants receive polices with the initial quoted price or lower!)

Throughout this three- to six-week process, you will receive auto-email status notifications and access to the QuickQuote secured server, so you can check the status of your application any time you like.

The underwriting process now completed, your policy is issued and double-checked for accuracy in terms of face amount, premium levels and plan-type, then sent directly to you. And finally, once your policy is in place, your QuickQuote team is available for policy reviews and future policy changes, such as address and beneficiary changes.

Remember, at QuickQuote, the advice is free, but the service is priceless.
