A Father’s Day Gift for Them – Term Life!

Term Life Insurance Blog

This Sunday we’ll turn our attention to Dad. The one who taught you how to ride a bike, shoot a basketball, throw a baseball, swing a golf club, catch a fish, start a fire, read, swim, defend yourself, respect your mom and, most importantly, how to be a better father to your children.

Well, it’s time to show him how much you’ve learned. It’s time to let him know he wasn’t wasting his time.

How? Easy — term life insurance.

Dads Need More Coverage

A 2011 study by LIMRA showed that 74% of fathers have some life insurance. That number is good, but it still leaves millions uninsured. Plus, the same study showed the amount of coverage these men have has decreased by nearly $50,000 on average over the past six years. Worse yet, 39% of men, in general, have no life insurance.

So, the problem is fairly clear, right? There are a lot of uninsured and underinsured men out there. And many of them have families counting on them for financial support. We’ll step down from our soapbox now.

If you are one of the men we’re talking about or know one who is, you’re in luck. Father’s Day is an ideal time to take the initiative to get new coverage, get more coverage or help out a relative or friend. Still not sure if you need term life insurance? Let’s make this easier. You need it if:

  • You are married
  • You have children
  • You are a single parent
  • You are a stay-at-home parent
  • You own a business

Already have life insurance, you say? That’s great! Now is also a perfect time to review what you have. If you answer ‘Yes’ to any of the following questions, chances are good you need more coverage than you have.

  • Has your income increased significantly since you purchased your policy?
  • Have you bought a new home or other considerable assets?
  • Do you have more children now?
  • Are you taking care of aging parents?

What You Can do About It

The good news is, on Sunday you’re likely to get something very thoughtful from your family. But you can still do something for yourself … and them. Take a look at a few term life insurance quotes and see how affordable protecting your family can be. Getting started is easy, and we’re here to help if you need it.

Sorry, we can’t be of much help with that Potty Putter gift, unfortunately!

Happy Father’s Day!
