Snacking on a banana when heartburn strikes can help soothe the pain within 30 minutes. Eating a banana each day can reduce flare-ups of heart burn within two weeks. Bananas coat and soothe the stomach lining, prevent acid overproduction and reduce the amount of stomach acid reflux into the esophagus.
When you are having trouble sleeping you should eat popcorn. Carbohydrates allow the body to make serotonin, a brain chemical that relaxes your system and helps you fall asleep. You only need about 30 grams of carbohydrates to get this effect. Two cups of air popped popcorn ought to get your eyes drooping.
