It’s September, and you know what that means: Football, Pumpkin Spice Lattes and, of course, Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM)! Can you feel the excitement?
We know it’s easy for many people to get excited about football. According to a 2011 Adweek/Harris Poll, 64% of Americans say they watch NFL football. And we know it’s unrealistic to expect you to get excited about life insurance awareness. But, what if we combined the two?
Well, that’s exactly what the nonprofit LIFE Foundation has done. This year’s LIAM Spokesperson is none other than Boomer Esiason! Boomer’s family was dealt a tough blow when he was young. His mother passed away when he was just seven years old, leaving his father to raise the family alone and with no life insurance to help. You can listen to Boomer’s message in this video.
So while we know getting excited about life insurance is a little much to ask, we hope we can at least raise your awareness a bit this September!
