U.S. Congress Endorses Life Insurance Awareness Month

QuickQuote Term Life Insurance Blog

Another Life Insurance Awareness Month is in the books. September 30th marked the official end of the annual event, sponsored by the Life and Health Insurance Foundation (LIFE) and supported throughout the life insurance industry. As they have each year since the inception of this event, the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives both passed resolutions recognizing September as Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) helped introduce the legislation to the Senate and had the following to say.

“This legislation will help raise awareness of the importance of life insurance. I hope this designation will encourage more Americans to seek information and secure the lifetime protection their families need.”

In August, President Bush commended the efforts of those who observe and promote Life Insurance Awareness Month, and Governors in 35 states also signed Life Insurance Awareness Month resolutions.

If you were not able to review your life insurance needs in September, it’s not too late! Take a look at life insurance quotes today and see just how affordable this valuable protection has become.
